Renderings Revealed for State Square In Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia

Renderings have been revealed for Station Square, a multi-unit development located at 308-16 West Chelten Avenue in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by Coscia Moos, the structure will stand five stories tall, with 49 residential units. RM Development and Zatos Investments are the developers for the project.

The development features a modern design with red brick and dark gray/black cladding at mansard roof at the top, which pays homage to local architecture. White cladding will be used at the rear. Parking will be located at the ground level. A mural also appears on the side of the building in the rendering, which will add character to the structure and the neighborhood.

The building will replace a two-story building and a surface lot. The existing structure features a mural, which is likely the reason why the future building will also include one. Transit access is offered directly adjacent to the station to Regional Rail via Chelten Avenue. When completed, the future building will tower over the station and will allow the mural to be highly visible.

In recent months, Germantown has seen an increase in large multi-family and mixed-use proposals, with hundreds of more residential units slated to for construction in the area. The neighborhood features the perfect foundation to support additional density. The new residents will contribute to the customer base for existing businesses in the area.

No completion date has been announced, though the building may be finished by 2022.
